Utility of tumor antigens as therapeutic and diagnostic tools

Objective

The serological profiling of anti-tumour associated antigen responses through large- scale efforts has identified over 2000 antigens. Our preliminary results show a correlation between antibody responses against a number of these with parameters indicative of indolent disease and with longer overall survival in lung cancer patients. The first aim of this project is to extend and establish these observations. Since these are antigens primarily expressed by tissues of neuroectodermal origin, we want to prove the absence of an association of antibodies against them and autoimmune paraneoplastic neuronal degeneration.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
