Opening up the European Research Area to Central Asia

Objective

1.Promotion and facilitation of assessment, dissemination, transfer, exploitation and broad take-up of research results stemming from past and present EU programmes involving the Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) scientific communities through creation of special training and distribution networks.
2.Rendering assistance to the Central Asiatic scientific communities to be integrated with European scientificcommunity through brokerage service in order to create joint research teams and organization of special trainingto use modern communication tools such as Internet and Web, and to learn specificities of the EU 6FP calls.Methodology of these training sessions will be published in specially created website and distributed among ofthe Central Asia research institutions.
3.Networking and analyzing the knowledge and expertise of the Central Asia scientific institutions in benefit ofthe European research community.
4.Benchmarking of most priority areas of future scientific cooperation between the EU and Central Asia scientific communities. The analysis and estimation of results of the carried out priority researches within the EU 6FP; and development of strategy and tactics, the new approach to an expert estimation of the Central Asia scientists’ proposals offered to the EU 6FP in order to stabilize research and development potential.
5.Benchmarking and mapping of research results on environment and health protection focusing at most important problems of Central Asiatic countries. Creation of a database, the analysis, research and definition fan efficiency degree of the ecological legislation of the Central Asiatic countries comparing with the EUlegislation.
