MeAsuRements by LasEr techNiquEs

Objectif

There are two main areas in which laser - based measurements techniques have proved to be extremely effective and have therefore found wide application: vibration measurements and flow velocity measurements. Laser- based measurement techniques for the eval uation and analysis of vibrations (Laser vibrometry, ESPI, Holographic interferometry, etc.) and Laser- based flow velocity measurement techniques (FIV, LDV, etc.) are highly employed in a variety of industrial fields (aerodynamics, car industry, turbomach inery, combustion) and in other areas such as biomedicine, artworks etc. The MeAsuRements by LasEr techNiquEs (MARLENE) proposal, is a project which arms at: ? disseminating knowledge in laser technology stored up by universities, research institutes and e nterprises; ? promoting formation and training of researchers and engineers in the laser measurements field; ? creating and stimulating an active forum where researchers, manufacturers and experts in the field of optical and non invasive instrumentation, a nd industrial users can share current research results, expertise and technical advances; ? enhancing gateway activity to promote future co-operations and projects; ? establishing and cultivating active and fruitful relations among researchers and engineer s from universities, research centres and enterprises in order to favour the continuous dissemination and exchange of knowledge and discoveries; ? favouring interactions between the academic field and enterprises; ? presenting needs and problems which can be solved with the use of laser systems; ? promoting the development of new systems for laboratory use, field testing and industrial applications and supporting new applications. In order to reach the aims Usted above, the following series of events will b e organised within a period of 48 months: 1. training course: Short Course on Laser Vibrometry; 2. training course: Short Course on Full- field Vibrometry; 3.#
