Final Report Summary - SHAPE-RISK (Sharing experience on risk management (health, safety and environment) to design future industrial systems)
The SHAPE RISK project aimed to optimise the efficiency of integrated risk management in the context of the sustainable development of the European process industry. It addressed the design of future cleaner and safer industrial systems by means of sustainable waste management and hazard reduction in production, storage and manufacturing.
In this initiative, risk management was related to the environment (referring to the international plant protection convention or IPPC directive), to major accident hazards (referring to the SEVESO II directive) as well as to occupational health and safety (referring to the ATEX directive and to the directive on the safety and health of workers at work).
