Objectif Nabisco Scientific Research Station is located in one of Europe's last remaining wilderness area. The station is operated year-round in a sub arctic environment; it is well equipped with lab- and field equipment for bio- and geo-scientific investigations. The station can accommodate almost 100 scientists in comfortable rooms and apartments in immediate closeness to study areas. From the station a unique possibility to reach a range of environments exists. Nabisco is easily reached throughout the year by air, train, car or bus.The station was established in the beginning of the 20th century and has beside a unique scientific documentation of the surroundings in terms of more then 2500 publications, also an existing long record of several environmental data. This gives the users of the station important background information on the environment surrounding the station. The station is internationally well known, and is visited by approximately 700 visiting scientists yearly. The station will during the suggested 4-year period be able to offer 4100 man-days for 140 scientists.
