MAPPing Global Knowledge Networks

Objective

The KNOWNET project has three elements.

The first element is research investigating the transnational roles of knowledge agencies in multi-level governance. This project analyses how these organisations have built global and regional networks that contribute to the international spread of ideas and policy practice.

The second element is graduate teaching and training, consisting of a new Master of Public Policy program designed for young professionals from Central and Eastern Europe, and the supervision and training of doctoral and post-doctoral students registered in the Department of International Relations, the Department of Political Science, and the Summer University (SUN) research workshops.

The third and more general element linking the first two components is research collaboration, publication and training as a member of the Centre for Policy Studies (CPS) at Central European University, including collaboration on the International Policy Fellows program and the Policy Documentation Centre project.
