Hungarian network of excellent centers on nanosciences

Objectif

The present proposal aims to contribute substantially to the Integration and Strengthening of the European Research Area in the field of Nano-technologies, nano-sciences, knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices ( NMP), by means of specific support actions in Hungary. These actions will be implemented to stimulate, encourage and facilitate the participation of relevant research organisations from Hungary in the activities of the NMP priority area. It will involve th e screening of research establishments active in NMP area, promotion of Hungarian competencies, support to Hungarian researchers to participate in consortia building, to prepare proposals, information, awareness and training activities, prospective studies aimed at defining research policies and organisation of research systems, and most importantly the establishment of a Hungarian NMP network (HUNN), and implementation of networking between the HUNN institutes, and between HUNN and five well-known, large E uropean NMP centres. The planned supporting activities will address not only cross cutting horizontal issues such as development and implementation of research and innovation strategies, trans-national technology transfer and related services, but also a w ide range of other related activities to promote dissemination, information and communication activities (workshops, seminars, awards and competitions), gender issues and ethical aspects. The planned actions will be coordinated by the Chemical Research Cen ter of the largest Hungarian scientific organisation, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (CRC HAS) in close collaboration with all Hungarian research institutes, which are carrying out high quality research in the NMP field. The participating European Nanoc entres will act not only as "advisory" organisations for the HUNN researchers, but will also be actively involved in future scientific collaborations within the frame
