Stimulating participation of Central Europe Agri-Food Sector in the FP6

Objective

The project will provide special support to Food Quality & Safety organisations wishing to participate in FP6. Communication channels and collaborative links between organisations from the MS and CC operating in the area of FQ & S will to be established. Through a series of specialised workshops and other measures participants will have an opportunity to learn about the FP6, FQ & S Programme, and to master their skills in proposal development. Also the activities within the project lasting will help to creation of detailed databases of researchers and research organisations in the candidate countries which contain information that would expedite partner penetrating/searching for the creation of consortia. Moreover, the different kind of activities included in 6 Workpackages will bring the data to support research policies in this field for pomology and floriculture as well as to create statistical information. To achieve the general objectives the following specific objectives must be fulfilled: - To organise a series of profiled workshops only in candidate countries, that would involved researchers from Member States, adapted to real needs of participants - To ensure transfer of best practices, knowledge and experience by experts and co-ordination from Member States - To start preparation of establishing Networks of Excellence in Food Quality and Safety in bridging candidate countries with assist Member States - To select most active companies from the sector of Food Safety and Quality in Poland,, Slovakia, Latvia, Hungary, Estonia and to define their profiles: strengths, weaknesses and needs - To define and develop project ideas - To provide assistance during forming of consortia (partner searches, summaries of project ideas, consultancy, IPR aspects) - To provide assistance during proposal preparation - To promote constructive international networking and partnership in the areas of FQ&S...
