The proposers, through the development of this project proposal, will support on one side the European Commission in creating the European Research Area (ERA) which includes as well the Member Countries as the Associated Candidate Countries and on the other side the actors in the research field from associated candidate countries in participating in FP6 projects. The activities and the relative objectives of the proposal are: 1. Create a database of researchers and research centers working in the specific field in the Candidate Countries, 2. Implement a virtual on-line partner search mechanism with the supporting data base, 3. Organize a series of conferences on meat safety and quality combined with FP6 Info Days and promotion of research potential in Candidate Countries, 4. Organize a Brokerage event "International Brokerage Event Meat Safety" to: o Present selected best research centers, o provide opportunities for meetings, discussions and presenting project ideas o diffuse the results of projects financed in past Framework Programmes on the identified topic "safety of poultry and pig meat".
