Objective
The overall objective of the proposal is to raise the quantity and quality of research projects with Hungarian participation in all types of FP6 instruments. Thereby, the project will ensure an increased number of successful participants for FP6 and foster the cooperation between the research communities in Hungary and the Member States, Associated and Candidate Countries, thus contributing to the creation of a real European Research Area.
This overall objective will be achieved by three major lines of activities:
- by networking and training the major Hungarian organisations taking significant role in the dissemination of FP6 related information and foster their relations with European partner organisations,
- by providing information to potential European partners on Hungarian R&D and
- by supporting the research community in Hungary with tailor-made information, assistance and services.
Among the 7 workplans (WP) several concentrate on national actions, however, the project pays special attention - including a dedicated WP - to international relations, namely to networking and to collaborating with NCPs and support organisations from the countries taking part in FP6 and particularly linking the project with similar initiatives implemented in candidate countries.
The consortium comprises 10 partners representing the seven regions of Hungary, as well as the country's major R&D institutions and R&D oriented industrial players;. This initiative is presented with the full support of the Ministry of Education and it also serves as an implementation background for the work of the Hungarian NCPs.
The project is relevant to the objectives of ACC-SSA general call, since it will support the participation of researchers from academia & industry from one of the Candidate Countries, namely Hungary. Specific emphasis will be given to Hungarian applicants' participation in the new instruments, the mobility schemes and the SME initiatives.'
