Objective
RECITAL has been active since 1995 and has achieved significant results in terms of the number of clients assisted (4157), SMEs involved in the technology transfer process (3992), company visits (495), Technology Offers (TOs) and requests (TRs) identified (357) and Transnational Technology Transfer (TTT) agreements signed (61). Moreover, RECITAL has developed and implemented new tools for the identification of qualified TRs and TOs and the classification of SMEs according to their level of innovation, as well as a best practice quality assurance (QA) procedure aimed at evaluating the real commitment of clients and the code of conduct of the IRC. In the consortium proposed, which maintains Consorzio Pisa Ricerche as co-ordinator and Etruria Innovazione, and Parco Tecnologico dell'Umbria-Sitech, as partners, Sviluppo Italia (which now focuses on Southern Italy only) will be replaced by Firenze Tecnologia, (sub-contractor of Consorzio Pisa Ricerche under the present mandate). The same geographical area ( Tuscany and Umbria) will be covered and the common strategy and communication tools which give the IRC characteristics of both a unique and an independent organization maintained. Thanks to the tools developed in the within the IRC network, the close con tacts established with other IRCs and the QA procedures activated, in the next 4 years phase of activity RECITAL aims to obtain even more concrete results than those achieved in the past. The target for signed TTT agreements in the present mandate 2000-200 4 is 20, the proposed TTT agreements were 25 (25% increase with respect to the present mandate), after evaluator recommendations our target for signed TTT agreements is 33 (33% increase with respect to the proposal submitted). This target is very ambitio us if we consider the very difficult situation of the regional economy of the geographical area covered but we will put all the necessary effort to reach these results.
