Promotion of trans-national technology transfer through the Innovation Relay Centre Romania

Objective

The project is for continuing the development of the Innovation Relay Centre Romania as national service provider supporting trans-national co-operation through technology transfer (TT) at European scale.. The consortium established to implement the proje ct ensures provisioning of services covering the entire territory of Romania. IRC Romania services will address identified promising sectors (like Agrofood, Textiles, Wood, I & CT ) and specific technology fields (like Environment, Biotechnology) but no discrimination will be made regarding other sectors or technologies. The strategic objective of IRC Romania is to facilitate and stimulate the participation of Romanian entities, especially SMEs, in trans-national technology transfer (TTT) co-operati on, through cost-effective services that are both pertinent to regional needs and provided in synergy with national and regional support infrastructure. IRC Romania - as a gateway for European TT in relation with a closely integrated pan-Romanian TT net work structure - will provide decentralized services to the local clientele - Services to the IRC clients (WP1) IRC Romania will have an effective co-operation with the IRC Network as per (WP2) Services to the IRC Network. The main expected results at th e end of the project duration are 8 inward TT agreements and 10 outward TT agreements. The project is sought to impact on the competitiveness of Romanian, by the transfer of European research results and by support provided to innovative enterprises, and by developing networking and synergies of a European dimension.
