Objective
Geographical Area: Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg (L) - Region of Trier (D) - Saarland (D) Strategic Objectives On the basis of the experiences achieved during its activities under FP4 and FP5, the trans-national Innovation Relay Centre Luxembourg-Trier-Saarlan d (IRC-LTS) has become the regional platform for supporting European technology co-operation and international technology transfers. According to European and regional policy objectives, the IRC-LTS will support its customers by providing a full service re lated to trans-national innovation activities by: - Providing advice and assistance in terms of generating trans-national technology transfer agreements - Promoting trans-national initiatives and IRC network services and events - Stimulating the capacity o f firms to adopt new technologies - Making use of European R&D results By carrying out these IRC services, the consortium ensures an increase in the openness and competitiveness of companies and a reinforcement of the link between research and industry at a European level. The IRC-LTS clearly understands the indispensable presence of the IRC network for regional companies and therefore plays a role of intensive co-operation not only with all other IRC's but also with other related European networks. Spe cial attention will be placed on key topics in order to raise the quality and attractiveness of the services: - Increasing the customer relationship management approach in order to facilitate follow-up and the knowledge management - Increasing the use of n etworking and best practice exchange, especially with the neighbouring IRC's - Links with other services and/or networks such as ESA and EUREKA - Use of a clustering approach on specific thematics Thanks to its highly experienced and multi disciplinary tea m, the IRC-LTS will offer their local clients access to professional technology opportunities across Europe and thus European integration through its sustainable work
