Objective The aim of ERAMIT is to create a Network of Mobility Centres in Italy, which will operate within the wider context of the European Network of Mobility Centres (ERA-MORE). The Network will provide the mobile research community with information in order to guide them in their arrival and stay in Italy, providing proximity assistance where necessary. In order to reach these objectives: a.Information on procedures (ex. Entry conditions, work permits, etc.) will be published on an ad hoc "Italian Mobility Portal"; b.A Network of eight/ten Mobility Centres will be set up, their staff will be trained and included in the ERAMORE Network. The Centres are aimed at giving practical assistance to foreign researchers coming to Italy; c.An awareness raising and dissemination activity will be carried out.In order to guarantee an effective rendering and a constant quality level of these services, CRUI Foundation (Bridgehead organisation) will co-ordinate and carry out the monitoring using appropriate management procedures. The ERAMIT partnership was constituted by organisations involved on the relevant issues of the project: 1. CRUI FOUNDATION represents the 77 Italian Universities and has been appointed "Bridgehead Organisation" by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research; 2. CNR is a national research organization with 107 scientific research institutes distributed over Italy; 3. APRE represents a group of 87 Italian organisations active in research, including all main industrial associations and has close links with both industry and academia. All those organizations have experience in managing projects and services destined to their target groups and in facing, at different levels, some of the issues related to international mobility. They all have links with similar organisations in other countries.
