Objective
The aim of Get-IN is to address the problem of the low participation rate of Associated Candidate Countries' SMEs in the IST thematic priority with an approach based in four main axis: - Develop and deploy of a participation toolset, capable of guiding ACC SMEs through the different stages of IST-related proposal submission; - Design an SME-focused support service package to help them building-up their ideas into projects; - Conceive a set of training sessions, focused in both the toolset manipulation and in the familiarisation with the 6FP instruments; - Set up a dissemination plan, designed to create awareness in ACC countries towards the current opportunities of the IST thematic priority. These four axis interact, converging to the following objectives in terms of SME participation: - provide specific training to 240 SMEs from the participating countries; - select a target group of SMEs from the training sessions and assist them in the expansion of identified ideas into projects - a target of 20 projects (among CRAFTs, STREPs and IPs) is foreseen; - brief a minimum of 1000 SMEs from the 6 involved countries in the opportunities and related instruments of the IST thematic priority of the 6FP.In order to achieve these goals, an ACC representative consortium has been set up.The project consortium is composed of a coordinator organisation - INOVA+ S.A. - with a large experience of promoting SME participation on IST projects and of training services at European level, and six innovation agencies in six candidate countries - Centre for Advanced Technologies (Romania), Applied Research and Communications Fund (Bulgaria), Lithuanian Innovation Centre, Latvian Technological Centre, BIC Bratislava (Slovakia) and Centre for Technology Transfer (Wroclaw, Poland).
