Partner Search Support for participants in IST Priority by European network of NCP for IST under the 6th Framework Program

Objective

The objective of Idealist34 is to simplify and enable the participation of proposers, mainly newcomers from organizations of all types, in the IST Priority. A focus on SMEs, is made on countries across Europe, including New Candidate Countries, Russia and Belarus. This objective is supported by:
Delivering a partner search mechanism, distributed internationally to help consortia find project partners in defined research contexts Offering idealist partner search services during international EC conferences and information days Offering a networking forum to help with exploitation and further take-up of RTD results by industry and particularly by SMEs; IST NCP network in order to facilitate coordination between European and National Initiatives by contributing to the realisation of the ERA. The proposed approach in partnership building is based on the following key features: It operates with specific proposal ideas, rather than generally advertising research capability. It is proactive in seeking out potential partners, rather than simply storing them in a database. It targets the Strategic Objectives of the IST Priority. It targets specifically interested organizations and individuals.
It is supported locally by IST experienced staff. The project will fund cooperation between the IST NCPs and their representatives allowing them to provide a much broader and improved service to support cooperation on European level. Idealist34 focuses on project partner searches across the whole of Europe and now represents 34 countries.
