ROMANIAN MOBILITY CENTRE

Objective

The project aims to establish a Mobility Centre and seven mobility contact points in Romania. "Romanian Mobility Centre" - RMC will be implemented to provide practical assistance to foreign research workers in matters relating to their mobility - legal, administrative, family, or cultural fields, and links to the European Network of Mobility Centres for the needs of interested persons in Romania. These will comprise information and practical assistance to foreign research workers awareness and training activities as well as promotion of the opportunities in Romanian research. In order to offer the best possible proximity assistance to researchers on the ground, the RMC will be structured at national level using a 7+1 regional mobility contact points established in each Region of Economical Development of Romania. Beside these, a strong cooperation with local and national authorities is envisaged. The RMC will provide its services at national level, covering the entire Romanian territory, using the functions and expertise of other institutions as: Romanian Academy, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and Bucharest, Executive Agency for Higher Education and Research Funding. The RMC will commit itself in all coordination activities at national level in order to enhance the exchange of information and good practice and to ensure a proper visibility of the Romanian specific environment in Europe and throughout the world. The RMC is to be integrated in the European Network of Mobility Centres and that to contribute to the generation of European added value. The project duration is 36 months.
