Objective
The BIO VENTURE EAST (BVE) proposal aims at raising the level of entrepreneurial management talent among young biotech companies in the New Accession States, in particular with regard to their ability to raise venture capital investment.The BIO VENTURE EAS T entrepreneur coaching programme is based on the partners' extensive experience and proven track-record in coaching European entrepreneurs on raising investment capital in the EU and the NAS. 1.1 Bio Venture East - The Strategic Goals The GOALS of the BV E programme are: -STRENGTHEN the entrepreneurial management capacity of NAS biotech entrepreneurs and management teams, with a view to increasing their capacity to grow bigger and more successful companies in the NAS, thereby resulting in greater wealth an d job creation -Improve the ability of biotech executives in the NAS to effectively negotiate with potential investors and increase their ability to raise venture capital to finance the development of the businesses -STRENGTHEN the capacity of the NAS advi sory and coaching resources available to local entrepreneurs -RAISE the visibility of Central Europe's biotech sector among the key biotech players in the EU -FACILITATE increased contact and exchange between local and West European Biotech Players, leadin g to increased business (partnering, licensing, investment, RTD co-operation etc.) 1.2 Bio Venture East - The Specific (Operational) Programme Objectives: - Design, organise and deliver a series of 5 Venture Academy Coaching Programmes - Provide powerful coaching to some 100 entrepreneurs (with at least 80% from the NAS region) at these Venture Academies - Create a Platform of 50 West and NAS Coaches - Ensure Transfer of Knowledge in a pragmatic and efficient manner to local coaches - Provide Powerful and Targeted Dissemination tools.
