Objective
The objectives of ToK project are: to build excellence in the EEDRI in the field of formation of regional partnerships aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and SME development; to disseminate good practices in this field; to develop multidisciplinary research in the economic and social sciences, and to help EEDRI better prepare for the ERA.
The objectives will be achieved by hosting 10 experienced researchers for a period of 40 months and sending 5 experienced researchers for a total period of 20 months. ToK project is organized around 3 thematic work packages (networking, capacity building, regional partnership building) and will significantly extend EEDRI's competencies in:
(i) identifying institutional capacity and governance with regard to the ability to enc ourage the development of productive entrepreneurship;
(ii) building a durable partnership in the formulation of enterprise development policy;
(iii) identifying good practice policies with respect to entrepreneurship development.
This will enable EEDRI:
(i) to become a Centre of Excellence in entrepreneurship and economic development;
(ii) to develop activities in the field of networking EEDRI with national and international research organisations;
(iii) to support the incorporation of the Polish scientific environment into the ERA as a partner.
ToK project blends directly into the priorities of the Lisbon strategy, which points at entrepreneurship as a crucial element in achieving its political objectives. An additional advantage of this project is its contribution to the development and upgrading of regional innovation policies within a European context. The results of the project will also serve the development and extension into the new member states of the methods of open co-ordination in the above areas. ToK project will be realized over the period of 48 months and will encompass use of the most effective methods such as learning by doing, learning by interacting, and learning by using.
