Objective
The project deals with the AUX-variation in Danish using the LANCHART corpus of spoken language. The four empirical studies take a more holistic approach to the study of language use and variation by combining corpus linguistic and variationist sociolinguistic approaches with quantitative statistical methods. Using multifactorial statistical methods, it is possible simultaneously to investigate the impact of various intra-linguistic and extra-linguistic factors as well as possible interactions between these. The project will contribute to my scholarly development: (I) by improving my methodological competences, (II) by enhancing my research profile, and (III) by extending my professional network and thereby opening up for long-terms research cooperation.
