System functionalities for photonic based high-capacity wireless communications

This deliverable will document progress towards the system challenges to be resolved in the area of mm-Wave systems to enable high-capacity wireless communications, namely: • System architectures and topologies for seamless integration of wireless and wired technologies • Modulation formats and channel modelling for communications in the 30-300GHz band • Delivery of wireless system and convergence in photonic networks • Band switching and polarization insensitive up-conversion of millimetre wave signals

System demonstrations of advanced mm-Wave communications

This deliverable will details developments by the network that will drive towards breakthrough experimental system demonstrations in the following areas: • 400Gbit/s wireless transmission supported by photonic technologies • Multiband and band switching of W-band and Terahertz signals • 10Gbit/s over >100m using dual laser chip and mode-locked laser chip at 71-76GHz and 81-86GHz • Beam steering of mm-Wave signal • Electro-optic sampling at 4 and 24.5 GS/s at 1.55um
