Deliverables

Recruitment

Recruitment strategy will be a priority at the initial Meeting and will follow best practice and the European ‘Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.’ Recruitment will be done centrally and the recruitment procedures will be efficient and transparent. The Supervisory Board will monitor impartiality, equality, and consistency in choosing candidates. The Coordinator will widely advertise all positions on a variety of websites aimed at attracting students with diverse backgrounds but sound previous scientific education (e.g. department websites, various national portals) and on the EU job portal Euraxess. Advertisements will also be distributed to contacts and colleagues within the academic and non-academic communities to be passed on to promising potential applicants. Applications will be collected centrally and distributed to beneficiaries. In addition, each beneficiary may also separately recruit applicants. The details of the selection process used by each beneficiary will follow those normally used by their institutions. The most qualified applicants will be interviewed, and a recommendation made to the Supervisory Board for final approval. Criteria for selection will include education and skills, potential for excellence in the technological and scientific aspects of the project, and the benefit of the training programme to the candidate’s research career.

First abstract to major conference
Company outreach meeting

AEOLUS4FUTURE intends to organize a meeting for scientists from companies and other industrial stakeholders. This will be an opportunity to explain the widespread proven and potential applications of AEOLUS4FUTURE science to potential beneficiaries, to develop formal and informal contacts with attendees, and to identify potential collaborators for future research and training. Approximately 10 scientists will be invited

Establishment of website

The AEOLUS4FUTURE website organized by LTU will provide a platform for disseminating information to outside researchers that can be readily updated, can supply additional information and documentation (e.g. photographs), and can provide a forum for discussion. It also provides a readily accessible location that is easily found though internet searches and is open to all users (in contrast to the limited access of journal sites).

Outreach Videos-final

A series of outreach videos will be made for the website and on YouTube that explain AEOLUS4FUTURE science to a wider audience. This will include interviews with AEOLUS4FUTURE scientists that explain the research in simple terms. Other videos may be of laboratories and field sites.

Outreach videos-mid

A series of outreach videos will be made for the website and on YouTube that explain AEOLUS4FUTURE science to a wider audience. This will include interviews with AEOLUS4FUTURE scientists that explain the research in simple terms. Other videos may be of laboratories and field sites.

Final outreach report

The range of outreach activities that are completed will be detailed in the Final Outreach Report
