Periodic Reporting for period 1 - REGINNOVE (REGional INNOVation mananagement support in Eastern France)

The objective of the action was to carry out specific support services to SMEs related to enhancing their innovation management capacity in the régions of Eastern France.
Two specific tasks were foreseen:
- Providing Key Account Management support services to beneficiaries of the SME instrument
- Providing Enhanced Innovation Management Capacity support to SME with a potential to innovate and internationalize.
As no beneficiary of the SME instrument was awarded during the course of the project within the geographical area covered, only the second type (EIMC) of services were actually delivered.

20 SMEs were selected for their potential to innovate and internationalize and benefitted from the Enhanced Innovation Management capacity service during the project duration.
The project short duration did not allow for any of the 20 cases supported to reach the final stage of support. Nevertheless, the assessment stage which all of them have completed already showed some weaknesses which in many cases the SME manager was not aware of.
This was very valuable in helping the SMEs defining an action plan to improve their innovation management capacity.
