How to improve acceptance and recognition standards by improving the user/vendor dialog (A guide)

This deliverable will challenge the way to speak about interoperability in the context of procurement, in an effort to iprove acceptance and recognition of standards, clarify expectations, in a mentality of co-creating interoperability.

The case for formal standardization in eHealth deployment (r1 & r2)

This deliverible consits of two releases: release 1, due in M3 release 2, due in M6 R1: This white paper aiming at wide distribution will establish the case for robust and unambiguous standards to enable interoperability in view of large scale eHealth deployments under CEF. R2: Following the first eStandards workshop the white paper will be updated with comments and insights from a wide range of stakeholders.

Final Activity Report relevant to Global Standards and the EU/US MoU

The Deliverable 5.3 is an evolving report on the progress towards contributing to global standards and in the frame of the EU/US MoU on eHealth Cooperation. All the standard artefacts produced within the scope of WP5 and the reports/results of the activities accomplished (including the support provided) will be here referenced. This report aims to serve as input to the eStandards Roadmap (WP3), suggesting actions for the short, medium and long term.

Second year Dissemination Report

This is the final dissemination report presenting dissemination activities and their relevant impact.

"Extension of the eEIF #.1: 5 new use cases"

Adressing the aim of WP2 to “Contribute to the eEIF by resolving ambiguities & embedding quality” this first deliverable of the WP2 will present new use cases or extensions of existing ones as produced after the first eStandards workshop. These new use cases will be added in the Antilope deliverable D1.1 for update and for consistency, the description will follow the methodology described in this document. The new version of the document will be included in the new eEIF. The new use cases will be selected based on the availability and readiness of standards and/or profiles which are in daily operation.

"Extension of the eEIF #2: Quality Management System for Interoperability Testing"

This deliverable will contribute to extending the eEIF with a Quality Management System for Interoperability Testing, building on the experience of the Antilope and HITCH projects and the evidence gained in eStandards. The Quality Management System for Interoperability Testing will be linked to fit into the eHealth EIF layers.

Solutions for a coexistence of eHealth standards

This deliverable will summarize the state of the art an approaches and solutions for achieving interoperability across e-health networks despite different choices of standards e.g. for representing medical information (syntax and semantics) and for access/transfer of information

Recommendations on SDO ways of working in harmonization of information structures and clinical content

This deliverable will build on the experience gained from the development and debate of D2.2 (Guideline: How to harmonize & establish selected clinical content for eEIF use cases) within the eHealth stakeholder community. Its purpose is to be distributed for adoption among leading SDOs, in order to provide guidance on how the future development of clinical content standards can be better aligned between them.

First Activity Report relevant to Global Standards and the EU/US MoU

Deliverable 5.1 is the first intermediate report of the activities accomplished for the global standards engagement and in the frame of the EU/US MoU on eHealth Cooperation. This report will include the baseline action plan. Any standard artefact produced within the scope of WP5 and the reports/results of the activities accomplished (including the support provided) will be here referenced. This report aims to serve as input to the MoU roadmap and the eStandards Roadmap (WP3).

Roadmap for a sustainable and collaborative standard development: Recommendations for a globally competitive Europe (r1 & r2)

This deliverable consits of 2 releases: R1, due in M22 R2, due in M23 R1: This deliverable presents a draft roadmap for collaborative development of essential standards, based on planned large scale deployments, the work programs of the key stakeholders and the experiences in the respective regions and nations. The roadmap will be informed by the outcomes of the policy discussions in task 3.2. It will incorporate several alternative solutions to co-existence of standards based on e.g. value mapping, mapping of information structures, model-based concept mapping and/or substitution, as well as identification of tools that could support such solutions. The relevant topics and instruments, as put forward in D3.2, will be specified for P2, WP4, WP5, and WP6 to address and gather evidence. R2: This will be the final version of the roadmap D3.5r1 after broad consultation and debate incorporating evidence from WP2, WP4, WP5, and WP6. The intend is for this roadmap to be adopted by the eHN.

Cost-effectiveness of standards-driven eHealth interoperability (study report)

This deliverable led by IHE will examine interoperability from an economic point of view, assessing ways to improve cost effectiveness. In eHealth it always a challenge to describe correctly the cost-effectiveness and simply to evaluate the contribution of the ITC in eHealth. In this deliverable we will use a methodology based on multi dimensional evaluation grid for Health and Autonomy (GEMSA) that was used in several projects. The result will reflect a better evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of standards.

First year Dissemination Report

This is the first year update of the dissemination plan, reporting on activities during the first year and updating plans for the reminder of teh project.

Guideline: How to harmonize & establish selected clinical content for eEIF use cases

IHE profiles can accomodate content produced using different clinical modeling methodologies. This deliverable, building on evidence collecting in existing implementation will produce a generic guideline on how to harmonize and establish a minimum dataset (clinical content) for an eEIF use case.

Interoperability guideline for eHealth deployment projects

D4.2 consits of 2 releases: r1, due in M18 r2, due in M21 r1: This deliverable presents the draft version of a guideline for the use of standards and profiles in large scale eHealth deployments. The deliverable builds on a work in regions and MS across Europe: Netherlands, Greece, Romania, Lombardy, Portugal and elsewhere. r2: Final version of D4.2 after expert consultation and debate.

Incentives, Tools, Open Source for adoption of eStandards

D6.1 reports on the role of technology in ensuring cost-effective standards development for eHealth Interoperability including an inventory of tools that spans the full life-cycle of standards inception and deployment. Open Source will be evaluated as a way to promote interoperability, analysing this opportunity and reporting potential pitfalls. Finally this deliverable will examine the possibility of leveraging technology standards that are used by commercial systems and are not specific to eHealth such as (OASIS ODF), (W3C Forms), etc

eHealth Stakeholders Registry

eHealth Stakeholders Registry will be implemented and popilated.

Project Website, visibility tools

This deliverable comprises the eStandards project website, twitter, and linked in tools. Tools will be first established within 2 months of the start of the project and will be henceforth regularly updated.
