This deliverable comprises a report of the plan and the activities carried out during the final year of the project with regard to WP6. A summary version will contribute to the project final report.

SLA and SON Concept for iCIRRUS

A concept for how to enable a service level agreement and how to optimise the fronthaul/midhaul network using SON concepts, will be captured. Indicating the optimal locations of monitoring and intelligent functions the deliverable feeds into T3.4 to support the updates architecture.

User equipment UE offloading & MDC definition for 60 GHz networking

UE parameters will be defined with reference made to results arising from WP2 and WP3 for MDC requirements in terms of latency and throughput specifications

iCIRRUS techno-economic analysis and business case

A techno-economic analysis for the iCIRRUS architecture deployment will be undertaken. It will take inputs from D2.1 and D2.2, and from the continued validation tests in WP5 up until almost the end of the project.

Mobile cloud networking and virtual mobile

This will use a virtual machines and mobile device/clone simulation to produce an optimal architecture design

Updated low-cost, energy-efficient Fronthaul Architecture

Taking input on high speed requirements from Task 3.4, the SON concept from T3.3 and the preliminary architecture. Lessons learnt during the project in other WPs (2, 4 and 5), the architecture is updated, refreshed and used for dissemination purposes.

iCIRRUS UE D2D & D2I interfacing

Interacting with WP2 and WP3, simulation models will be run to check interoperability, throughput and buffer requirements. Envelopes for satisfactory operation will be defined.

Verification of Ethernet as a transport protocol for fronthaul/midhaul

Explores the impact of mapping fronthaul(and midhaul) over Ethernet, and the possibility of mapping Ethernet over fronthaul. Verifies Ethernet as a suitable transport for iCIRRUS architectures including analysis of emerging paradigms and compression functions.

Validation test results and analysis evaluation

Provides the compound results analysis of test runs and conclusion of validation against predefined KPI

Refined iCIRRUS architecture definitions and specifications

Taking new knowledge gained from WP3, WP4 and WP5, a refined architecture with specifications will be developed.

Tools, scenarios and results analysis methods for validation test

Describes test definition, infrastructures required and expected results for each of test cases.

Validation test setup and execution report

Describes test runs of control, data, mobile cloud planes test cases.

iCIRRUS intelligent C-RAN architecture

Using and referring to the selected METIS scenarios, an architecture definition with initial performance specifications will be made. This will be used to feed into the activities of WP3 and WP4, and initial planning for the validation setups in WP5.

Preliminary Fronthaul Architecture Proposal

Defines an iCIRRUS Ethernet Transport Network Architecture. Based on inputs from T3.1 and findings from WP2 and 4.

Joint resource management & cooperative allocation

Exploiting technical outputs from WP2 and WP3 and feeding forward into WP5 and WP6, a study using envelope optimization will be performed. A range of scenarios produced under varying constraints will be reported.

Website created

The project website will be created with a “.eu” domain name targeted. The public part of the website will be the responsibility of WP6. Here, the internal, consortium area of the website will be setup.

Data Management Plan

iCIRRUS will participate in the Open Research Data pilot and a Data Management Plan (DMP) will be produced.Progress updates to the DMP and the requests for use of the open data will be reported annually
