Dancing in the Dark

Livrables

Demonstrate how sonification training modulates mental imagery
Final report on dissemination activities

Report summarising the dissemination activities in the whole project

Intermediate report on dissemination activities

Report summarising the dissemination activities in the first half of the project

Use cases

A document reporting the use cases for which specific instances of the DANCE system will be integrated and evaluated. Such use cases will be a refinement and extension of the use cases sketched in Section 1.3.2 and will take into consideration the feedback by blind persons and dance artists. The deliverable will also specify the list of technological requirements for WP2 and WP4.

Demonstrate the time course of development of cross-modal plasticity for sonification
Quantify connectivity/overlap of regions processing dance movement and sonified dance movement
Demonstrate the functional role of the occipital cortex in dance sonification in congenitally blind participants
Clarify the detailed anatomical structure of the the retino-fugal system in congenitally blind participants
Quantify the level of auditory localisation ability in both normally sighted and congenitally blind participants
Revised use cases

A revised version of the use cases will contain proof-of-concepts and it will be based on the first version of the integrated platform DANCE (D4.1).
