Truly integrated long distance transport system

Definition based on maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of transport as well as supporting EU policies, in particular those related to transport, energy and environment. This deliverable will provide the structure for the routemapping activities e.g. defining targets, obstacles, regulatory issues.

Definition based on maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of transport as well as supporting EU policies, in particular those related to transport, energy and environment. This deliverable will provide the structure for the routemapping activities e.g. defining targets, obstacles, regulatory issues. This Deliverable will contain clear information on what needs to be changed for implementation success, what the target is and who the early enablers and adopters are to be, also the governance of the process required to reach consensus and implement the changes

Establishment of a cross-modal permanent group of stakeholders and experts in the long distance freight transport.
Recommendations for a sustainable TRA business model
Report on links and coordination with key stakeholders

Describing links with stakeholders needed to implement an integrated transport systems for passengers and freight such as the private sector, European Commission, ERA-Net, Member States and Associated Countries National Representatives, national platforms, international portals and databases including TRIP follow-on, HERMES, US-TRB, OECD/JRC and other global players, including the European Standardisation Organisations (CEN-CENELEC-ETSI). In addition reports will be provided on the motivation and perceived barriers for important stakeholders in implementing an integrated transport system such as industry (both large and small businesses), transport sector financers and developers, and representative freight and passenger groups for examples, the European Intermodal Association (EIA), International Union for Road-Rail Combined Transport (UIRR), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK - CILT(UK) (and similar national freight and logistics entities of other countries), The European Passenger Federation (EPF), European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) and the various national passenger transport authorities.

Dissemination exploitation and engagement Strategy

A detailed Dissemination Strategy will be developed at the beginning of the project on the basis of above objectives. This will define a number of dissemination methods and channels for the project, including (but not restricted to): shaping the link and cooperation with key players (such as identified in tasks 4.2), developing a dedicated webpage to be made available on each ETPs website, and other communications material. The strategy will also include a proposal for the articles to be published regularly between months 4 and 24.
