Reseach Infrastructures Training Programme

Resultado final

D3.1 identification of course providers and courses with input from RIs

We will use the competency framework created by WP2 to identify existing courses that already fulfil these competency requirements. This will be done through an online survey distributed to managers, coordinators and training representatives in existing and emergent research infrastructures.

D4.5 half yearly WP progress reports

All work packages will write half-yearly WP progress reports and submit these to the Project Coordinator; these reports will be used to assess whether the project is on track and to agree upon any necessary corrective action.

D4.1 Develop the Infrastructure Empowerment© model

To cater for the specific needs of infrastructures and institutions, we will develop the Infrastructure Empowerment© model. This model will be based on the organisational competency requirements emerging from WP2.

D5.3 half year WP progress reports

All work packages will write half-yearly WP progress reports and submit these to the Project Coordinator; these reports will be used to assess whether the project is on track and to agree upon any necessary corrective action.

D.1.4 Reports of the EAB meetings

Reports of the EAB

D3.3 gap analysis – mapping of competencies identified in WP2 to existing courses

The list of courses compiled for D3.2 will be analysed to identify gaps. This analysis will compare the compiled data in on-course® with: the results of a survey on training needs among research infrastructures; and the defined competencies to see whether they are sufficiently delivered by existing courses, in terms of content and learning outcomes, quality and geographic coverage.

D2.2 Organisational competency framework v. 1.0

Using the roles prioritised in task 1, we will draft a competency matrix for organisational roles in research infrastructure at three distinct stages of their lifecycle: planning, construction and operation.

D1.5 Final report

Final report

D4.4 Assessment of pilot results and final version of curriculum syllabi

We will organise a pilot programme for the Master's in Research Infrastructure Management, organised into discrete modules. Pilots will be monitored during execution and the results will be analysed and used for future extensions of the pilots and the fine-tuning of the curriculum syllabi. A final version of the curriculum syllabi will be released.

D2.4 half year WP progress report to the Project Coordinator

All work packages will write half-yearly WP progress reports and submit these to the Project Coordinator; these reports will be used to assess whether the project is on track and to agree upon any necessary corrective action.

D3.5 half year WP progress report

All work packages will write half-yearly WP progress reports and submit these to the Project Coordinator; these reports will be used to assess whether the project is on track and to agree upon any necessary corrective action.

D2.3 Refined organisational competency framework and publication

After a defined period of public consultation, we will use comments from the consultation to further refine the competency matrix. We will write, and aim to publish, a peer-reviewed paper on the development of the competency matrix.

D3.4 report on gaps in training: white paper on training needs

The results of the gap analysis described in D3.3 will first be shared and discussed with the project consortium. They will inform WP4 and WP5 for curriculum development and course delivery, and will be published as a white paper.

D4.2 Develop Curriculum for Master in Research Infrastructure Leadership

We will create a set of accredited curriculum syllabi including i) required competencies and targets; ii) course type, level and indicative content; iii) learning methodologies.

D5.2 Webinar Programme

Throughout years 2-4 of the project we will deliver a regular programme of short webinars. Each webinar will be based on the experience of leading personnel in research infrastructures, and each partner in the project will be expected to deliver up to two webinars per year.

D1.2 Release of web-site, internal communication platform and mailing list

We will develop and release a project specific web-site, setup an internal communication platform and mailing lists

D3.2 set of relevant existing learning opportunities flagged in on-course®

Courses identifies in D3.1 that meet our quality criteria will be entered into the on-course® database, properly described and flagged and made searchable in the on-course® platform.

D2.1 Market research to determine roles needed by research infrastructures

Using the MERIL resource (https://portal.meril.eu) as our source, we will survey existing national and international research infrastructures in Europe to determine the size of our market; this research will also allow us to gain valuable information on the perceived need for training, allowing us to prioritise competency requirements.

D.1.3 General Annual Reports

Based on the biannual reports from all other WPs we will develop the General annual reports for the EC

D1.1 setup of all bodies like Management Team, External Advisory Board, General Assembly

we will setup all bodies for the project, i.e. Management Team, External Advisory Board, General Assembly

D4.3 Select Teaching methods

We will set guidelines for teaching delivery and learning methodologies. The learning approach will be based on sound academic methods proved to effectively transfer and enact professional qualities, capabilities and expertise thanks to the use of diverse learning methodologies.
