World’s first complete motion-preservation 'Implant-less' surgical correction for Scoliosis

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - ImplantFreeSpine (World’s first complete motion-preservation 'Implant-less' surgical correction for Scoliosis)

Período documentado: 2015-06-01 hasta 2015-10-31

This project was undertaken to investigate the technical, commercial and regulatory viability of a revolutionary surgical system that has been developed to cure scoliosis for the first time.
Based on the outcome of this project, it has been determined that this solution is technically feasible, a clear regulatory pathway exists and that this product is commercially viable.
The current standards of care for the treatment of scoliosis are not cures for this disease. This solution will deliver the first known complete cure for scoliosis.
Scoliosis affects around 3% of the global population and its surgical management is currently worth 2Bn Euros per annum. This project is being developed by ATC Ltd., a leading manufacturer of precision medical devices, supplying products across the world to blue chip and smaller companies.
