Ruptela is a relatively young company which has been operating since 2007. During this short timespan Ruptela has showed significant growth and managed to demonstrate excellence in the field of fleet management solutions. Such success, coupled with a skilled team of engineers and managers, has forced the company to always be on the lookout for new challenges and product development opportunities. One of these opportunities was the Horizon 2020 programme which gave the necessary tools to identify and refine steps needed to create a transport management solution that would be attractive to European logistics companies.
The opportunities presented by Horizon 2020 gave Ruptela the resources to conduct an extensive market research involving both Lithuanian and European companies of various scale. The findings allowed to refine a vision of a minimum viable product that would serve as a starting package for logistics companies interested in such a product. This technical foundation coupled with all of the collected requirements from clients allowed to identify the direction we want to product to head in. The work packages developed during the current reporting period allowed to gain a high level understanding on how the software and hardware development activities would be structured and what would be the estimated budget for the project.
Upon successfully implementing the work foreseen in the refined work packages we expect to create a powerful bundle solution which will consist from both hardware and software components. These will be available “out of the box” and will be suited but not limited to the following sectors:
- Distribution
- Long haulage
- Service
- Parcel delivery
The flexible software as a service pricing will allow organizations of various sizes to use our optimization algorithms and reap numerous economic and social benefits. Benefits like:
- Palletization of goods which improves the efficiency of warehouses
- Automatic order dispatch which improves the efficiency of dispatchers
