Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

This is project intends to develop a solid methodology to help the most promising companies within every region to achieve an innovation management plan and to provide them with a special set of advanced services.
The main objectives are:

• To enhance the innovation management capacity services that the Enterprise Europe Netwok offers
in the frame of the Galactea‐plus consortium. To analyse the strengths and gaps in the innovation
management capability of SMEs by means of the Improve assessment tool in order to define an
action plan implementation.

• To provide the key account management service to companies granted with the SME Instrument
project within the local area covered by Galacteaplus.

• To define a number of 84 7‐day service packages, estimating a total number of 22 KAM services, in
both phases 1 and 2, and 62 Enhancing Innovation Management Capacity, supported by the
Improve tool.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

Support to the participation of local companies in SME Instrument projects in the whole process, from the elaboration of the project until the KAM services.

- KAM service provided to 30 local companies - Close contact with the most innovative companies

- Deveolpmente of 17 innovation reports by means of the Improve Tools, feedback and action plan.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

- The major impact will correspond to the companies granted with a phase 2, projects that are under development. The role of the KAM, helping the identification of the coach and accompanying the companies through the whole project is essential. In this case the impact could be measured in terms of economic growth and creation of employment.

- In the case o f the EIMC, at this moment, the measure of the impact is more qualitative. The companies have identified fields of improvement and the possibility of implementing and action plan.

- There is a new specialised service to support companies to participate in the SME Instrument.

- The collaboration with stakeholders has result in new calls for proposals for the companies participating in the project.
