COINS Final Conference (opens in new window)A final, end of project conference will also be organised by Ericsson at Ericsson Headquarters in Stockholm. The final conference will be a major dissemination activity spearheaded by Ericsson that will be open to a number of delegates outside the network
public event at primary school in Sweden (opens in new window)The Innovation Workshop Events will comprise a series of parallel day-time events targeting young children in primary schools in theSweden. The events will follow a standard template of an innovation fun-day, where ESRs will lead workshops and activities to engage young children in creative thinking relating to the ‘Future of Technology and Innovation in Network Society’.
ESRs recruited (opens in new window)The RCG will set the requirements and advertise posts widely through EU employment sites and academic and professional networks (including Ericsson networks). Univleeds Human Resources Office will advise the RCG in aspects of employment law. RCG will review applications to ensure appointed ESRs meet the mobility and experience criteria of the ITN scheme. Strict entry requirements will be specified to ensure only the best quality candidates are accepted. If no suitable candidate applies for a particular fellowship the post will be re-advertised. Five ESRs will be employed on a full contract, and will be recruited between months 6-12.

Crowdsourcing competition (opens in new window)Ericsson will host a crowdsourcing competition aimed at young people and students on a scenario relating to: ‘The Future of Technology and Innovation in Networked Society’.
Workshop on Innovation for Internet of Things (opens in new window)A 3-day workshop on innovation for the IoT will be organised by Ericsson in Aachen (Germany) to explore new insights and possibilities emerging from innovation enabled by advanced internet technologies and networked collaboration.
Workshop on Complex innovation in Health (opens in new window)A 3-day workshop on complex innovation in health will be organised by Univleeds to explore and discuss new insights in medical and health care systems. The event will be supported by Leeds City Council, attended by high profile institutions such as DePuy, the NHS, GSK, and open to 10 delegates outside the network.
Impact Brochure (opens in new window)An impact report will be produced that summarises the project insights for use in industry and policymaking. ESRs will be expected to provide a summary of their research results for publication in the report.
Social media homepage (opens in new window)A social media infrastructure will be developed as the primary support mechanism to drive dissemination of results to wider factions of the general population. Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube will be layered as mutually supporting platforms to ensure a critical mass of engagement and reach.

ESRC social science event (opens in new window)The ESRC's Festival of Social Science is used as an outlet for targeting the general public. The event will be held in Leeds and will comprise a series of short, engaging presentations from ESRs and invited speakers, as well as an interactive poster presentation session with shortlisted finalists from the crowdsourcing competition.
Technology Entrepreneurship Excursion (opens in new window)A 3-day technology entrepreneurship excursion will be organised by Ericsson to visit its facilities in the Silicon Valley. This will be essential to expose ESRs to the wider aspects of their project relating to data collection. ESRs will also learn from the global ‘Machine Learning’ research group of Ericsson
