NOHA hosts Spring, Summer and Fall Schools each year in partner countries holding the EU presidency and at major humanitarian events. These are regularly attended by key policymakers from the EU and its member states as well as staff of humanitarian and development NGOs. It will be ensured that there is a focus on urban preparedness and resilience within the agenda of at least two of these schools during the project

The PRUV International Symposium will be held at the end of the project. All participants in PRUV will provide a synthesis of their findings and key stakeholders from academia, policy and practice.

6.6 NOHA Intensive Programme Lectures (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

Each September NOHA (four of the academic participants are members of NOHA) holds a two-week Intensive Programme for approximately 170 students of NOHA’s MSc in Humanitarian Action. This opportunity will be exploited each year for the duration of the PRUV programme to provide a platform for staff participating in the programme to deliver lectures concerning their research on urban preparedness and resilience to key future humanitarian actors.

6.9 Journal of Int'l Humanitarian Action editorial (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

Papers for submission to peer-reviewed publications are key deliverables of the PRUV Consortium. In addition, Prof. Hans-Joachim Heintze of RUB is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Humanitarian Action, which is published by Springer. He will author an editorial for the journal concerning the project, thereby reaching a wide expert audience (Impact - reaching a specialist academic audience).

The Project Manager will design and launch the project website. On the website an active blog run by the early stage researchers will be initiated. This will be accompanied by a newsletter e-mailing list and social media pages (Impact – reaching professionals searching for information on resilience and linking to think tanks, governments, NGOs, and private companies with regular updates via email. Social media will also be used to impact on a larger public audience).
