launch of CoHERE Critical Archive

The CoHere Critical Archive (CCA) will form a dynamic digital repository and linking mechanism for critical essays, films and audio recordings, data files, case studies and profiles of practice-based research. This is based on the existing infrastructure of the MeLa Critical Archive (http://www.mela-project.eu/events/details/unfolding-the-mela-critical-archive), to which it will link. One purpose of the CCA is to bring online resources created for other projects, including EC-funded ones, into a network of interfaces and linked assets. Each WP will produce resources for the CCA from the outset, as the architecture for the Critical Archive exists and is already exploitable. This is different from the MeLa project where the architecture had to be designed and built during the project, meaning that the Critical Archive only began to be populated in the final stages of the project. Populating the CCA from the outset means that it can have an overtly dynamic, unfolding and evolving character, allowing it to register changes in thinking, contradictions and tensions, emerging areas and debates based on conjecture and forecasting related to notions of European heritage. CCA resources will be provided in various stages, and may include literature reviews, short case studies, films, links to other web-based resources, infographics etc., as well as linking to CoHERE online publications. The CCA will be ‘fronted’ by a CoHERE website that will be continue to be active for at least two years after the project to maximise impact; during this time it will include notifications, blogs and social media feeds as well as acting as a portal into the CCA. After the project the ‘front’ website will become an archived site within the CCA itself, detailing the achievements of the project.

CoHERE Visual Identity

Visual identity and branding to be designed and finalised, including website, logo, etc.

WP4 stage 2 video content for CCA

Ongoing video documentation of the processes and findings of the WP4 activities for the CCA. Documentation of outputs from expert interviews, workshops, exhibitions and installations will function jointly as dissemination media and ongoing reflexive documents that feed back into the practice orientated research methodology employed in WP4.

geostream application

A new application of http://geocontentstream.eu/geostream/resources.html, to reflect the terms of importance for research in CoHERE and a new geographical area. The app will be calibrated to data-mine a selection of project-related social media sources in a specific geographic location and according to content/keywords that are relevant to the CoHERE research. It will be delivered as an output to REA and project monitors based upon existing precedents, namely: (a) as an online demo, which will allow users to perform data-mining searches according to the geographical, content and date source parameters to be established through the research; (b) as a report, which will present and synthesize the results of the data-mining process at a given moment in time.

Interactive e-book

interactive e-book with activities, lesson plans and ideas to enrich curricula of primary, secondary and multicultural schools. The e-book could be interactive allowing educators to embed content.

WP5 Technological tools

Innovative technological tools for the transmission of heritage and European identities, such as Vid-Maps.
