Case study part II: Good practices for RRI institutionalisation

- Synthesis report on second round interviews, including good practice examples in coping with RRI institutionalization barriers - Synthesis report of case studies

Synthesis on existing good RRI practices

Deliverable 1.2 synthesises the state of the art on good RRI practices in the form of a good practices report, consisting of two major parts: A first part describes the RRI state of play at Fraunhofer and TNO from the perspective of the actors involved. A second part documents the insights gained from the further similar research institutions in a comparative manner.

TNO concept on organizational RRI goal development

This deliverable will outline the concept on organizational goal development at TNO in the form of a description of specific methods and a procedural guideline.

Further publications specific to target groups

Addressing RTOs and similar research organizations as well as the stakeholders of RRI in the EU 28, user briefs, 7 peer-reviewed publications, and further publications for specific target groups will be provided.

TNO implementation report

The TNO implementation report summarises all experiences of the first implementation stage that are relevant for the mutual learning and dissemination activities. It will also contain further documents developed during the implementation stage.

Description on specified RRI goals at TNO

This deliverable will contain a definition of the specified RRI goals for each RRI key dimension as well as related demands, expectations and visions articulated by the stakeholders in one report.

Transformative RRI action plan for TNO

The action plan will consist of a general concept underlying the actions planned as well as the definition of concrete actions, time schedule and responsibilities (roadmap).

Evaluation report II

Evaluation report II contains a formative evaluation of the JERRI activities up to Milestone 4 “First implementation and good practices” (cf. table 3.2 a).

Final Dissemination Plan

In the final dissemination plan, all dissemination and exploitation measures will be carefully fine-tuned to the situation at the project’s starting point.

Evaluation report I

Evaluation report I contains a formative evaluation of the JERRI activities up to Milestone 2 “Specific RRI goals and first lessons learned” (cf. table 3.2 a).

Advanced concept on deep institutionalization of RRI

This deliverable will consist of a discussion paper summarizing and developing further the conceptual state of the art of the concept “deep institutionalization” and its application to RRI orientations and practices. It will include a typology for the deep institutionalization of RRI (by Month 6), reflected by the experiences made in the stakeholder workshops in WPs 2-5 (by Month 24).

Good practice RTO engagement manual

The target group of this manual are RTOs and similar research organizations in the EU 28. It contains general procedural / content recommendations on transformative action plans and RRI institutionalization.

Review of RRI action plans (TNO)

This deliverable consists of the amended action plans for all RRI dimensions.

The discussion paper will integrate the insights with regards to the organizational transformation barriers and drivers at Fraunhofer and TNO based on the theoretical state-of-the art.

Synthesis report of desk research, first round interviews and discussion of the first workshop, including good practice examples

Lessons learned for goal development

This report will integrate the concepts developed, experiences made and good practices identified during process of RRI goal development at Fraunhofer and TNO in the form of general recommendations.

Monitoring and evaluation concept

The monitoring and evaluation concept comprises a detailed plan and time-schedule as well as a set of evaluation criteria.

Fraunhofer concept on organizational RRI goal development

This deliverable will outline the concept on organizational goal development at Fraunhofer in the form of a description of specific methods and a procedural guideline.

Review of RRI action plans (Fraunhofer)

As the result of task 6.2, this deliverable consists of the amended action plans for all RRI dimensions.

Final recommendations from international mutual learning Summative evaluation

The summative evaluation contains an assessment of the JERRI efforts and output as well as their impact at the end of the project.
