Periodic Reporting for period 1 - ShopStar (Image learning to create a new online marketing tool)
Período documentado: 2015-12-01 hasta 2016-05-31
Our initial business model was based on giving media the opportunity to transform their websites into a marketplace – by recognising clothes in the images on their webpages and allowing users to follow a link to purchase the same or similar items.
Our Phase 1 objectives therefore included investigating the full potential of our unique technological developments and needs of our target client bases – with the aim of developing a more complete commercial solution that would position Shopedia as a highly competitive and disruptive player in the advertising industry.
We also developed a clear roadmap with our overall commercial vision and the elements of our technology that can be rapidly commercialized and begin contributing to this ambition.
Subsequently, we were able to test our new business models via several POCs (proofs of concept) carried out with two major brands.
Our Phase 1 Feasibility Study therefore proved to be a turning point in the development of our business activities, allowing us to develop and validate a cohesive technical & commercial vision.
The results of our commercial feasibility work and our successful POCs have shown that we have the potential to disrupt our target markets. For media, we can create innovative new revenue streams. For brands, we can offer services that allow them to track the impact & diffusion of their online images across the web, and offer innovative mobile apps that use our technology to provide for “visual” search engine features.
We are now focusing on finalizing and accelerating the commercial deployment of our solutions.
