Studies of circumference symmetry in belless charging

Objective

On a model (scale 1:1) the parameters determining asymmetry effects in charging are to be studied. In a second stage, possible ways of influencing asymmetry will then be worked out. The studies will cover: deviations from the circular, variations of specific local distribution of the charge, variations in grain distribution and the rectification of these asymmetry effects by appropriate modifications to the design of the down comer. The studies will be carried out on the charging materials sinter, pellets, sinter/pellet mixes and coke.
