Coke properties for coal injection

Objective

It is planned to inject into a large blast furnace quantities of coal fines of up to 200 kg/t pig iron. This should reduce the coke rate to below 300 kg/t pig iron. The coke properties regards particle size cold strength and high temperature strength will be investigated. Amongst other things coke samples will be taken at the tuyère level over the radius of the blast furnace.
