Objective

The aim of the research is to investigate the void ratio of a quenched blast furnace in axial and radial directions and to find out how sinter or pellets mix into the coke layer and what degree or interlocking is achieved in the burden. Finally, interactions of local voidage and gas velocity as well as local degree of reduction and softening and melting behaviour will be characterized
