Objective
This investigation aims to throw light on to the conditions in a blast furnace hearth and to try to avoid breakouts, which can happen in this area. In a model the real operational conditions like profile of the hearth, position and porosity of the "dead man" will be investigated as well as the dynamic flow at the taphole.
