Objective
The research is intended to establish correlations between macro-thermal analysis/thermo-gravimetry test results of mould powders and their behaviour in continuous casting, especially for surface properties of the strand. High temperature X- ray diffraction techniques will also be employed and plant trials will be carried out to correlate research results with steel produced in different slab and bloom casting machines.
