Objective

This research project will examine nozzle geometry and melt flow supplying a thin strip caster. Characteristics of the pool and the first solidified layers are determined principally by these parameters. Laboratory scale experiments will attempt to optimise the feeder system producing steel strip of 0.6 - 3mm thickness.
