Objective
The aim of the present project is to evaluate quantitatively the operating parameters of an efficient mechanical soft reduction of CC long products during solidification. The main parameters are the length of reduction, the number and intensity of each reduction, the shape of the rolls, the position of the reduction zone in the liquid pool. Mathematical models, which have to be developed during this project will be validated on an experimental device and on a full scale unit.
