Influence on steel properties of metallic elements introduced via scrap derived from the recycling of vehicles and military equipment

Objective

The study is aimed at quantifying the influence of scrap from vehicles and military equipment recycling on the quality of steel and emissions produced. This is of special importance because, firstly, the East German steel industry uses comparatively high quantities of scrap and, secondly, it is intended to increase the amount of car scrap from recycling for environmental reasons.
