Objective The proposed research aims to improve the kinetics of gas removal from liquid steel by the addition of very fine oxide powders. Furthermore, when applied to desulphurisation it should allow a reduction of the operation time and reach very low sulphur content in the melt. Benefits will be technical and economical.
