Objective
To develop a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model to calculate the flow pattern of materials existing in a BOS converter, involving slag and bottom stirring. To apply the model to the physical and chemical processes in the converter and to the erosive and corrosive mechanisms which are active. To study gas inlet velocity and lance geometry.
