The possibility of improving the life of the refractory linings of casting ladles will be investigated in laboratory tests and production trials; the research will be concentrated on the following areas: - the slag zone; - the ladle bottom brickwork; - the slide gate; First of all physical, chemical and mineralogical tests will be carried out in the laboratory and later works test are planned.
