Use of the optical basicity concept for determining phosphorous and sulphur slag/metal partitions

Objective

It is proposed to carry out an experimental study into the equilibrium state existing between high alumina content slags and metal. Use will be made of an electro- magnetically driven rotating crucible to overcome problems of crucible attack. The resulting data will be used to extend the range of existing published data so that a greater understanding of the optimum conditions under which phosphorus and sulphur can be removed from the metal can be obtained.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
