Objective
The object of this research is to examine both the characteristics of the scale formation and the principles involved in high-pressure water descaling to enable an effective process route to be specified to give good surface quality. It is intended to study the impingement pressures obtained by various hydraulic system configurations with a system pressure up to 800 bar and to examine the relationship between scales, scale removal and impingement pressure.
