Objective
During hot strip processing, it is important to maintain adequate and uniform temperatures in the steel to ensure satisfactory product quality. Techniques aimed at conserving energy through the process from continuous casting to hot rolled coil increase the possibility that product quality may not be maintained. The aim objective of the proposed work will be to show how energy saving can be maximised while maintaining satisfactory metallurgical properties for various grades of steel.
